Could you make a Video on the most efficient lighting and watering farm (Least amount of sprinklers and lights per number of planters) because I see a lot of comments about it and a vid would really help me understand. Btw awesome videos, keep it up.
If you build in an area with a good environment, couldn't you just build a building, but delete the floor and plant directly into the ground rather than having to worry about the planter boxes and possible water requirements ?

I thought growing corn and composting or selling to bandit might give more scrap but I experimented and did some math sadly it does not. However, if you set up near a river you can always compost the extra corn which may even solve your fertilizer problem (be warned this would take more labor time because you need to constantly go out to get corn and corn does not give that much fertilizer. In the first 24 hours, you could have a t3 workbench and experiment every t3 BP with just 1 floor. 3 Floors would be ridiculous since after 5 hours you'd have no need for scrap any more.
I have 8 planters being watered with 3 sprinklers and use 4 lights. 2 planters on top 4 across middle and 2 below like a +. Put the sprinklers in the middle of it all. The splash over just barely reaches the outer planters. The lights go in a diamond above them. Each should be in the middle of where 2 planters touch sides. Using timer i have one fresh water pump running 24×7 filling 4 water barrels and the sprinklers go 30 seconds on every 2 minutes. (This feeds 2 full sets of 8 planters, 6 sprinklers off 1 pump). I occasionally top off planters with jugs. At 9k/9k you are overwatering, but is ok, the amount in planter drops to 7k or so which seems better for plants. Then adjust times for sprinkler. Turn sprinkler off when not growing. Rustrician dot io has good sprinkler timing circuit

– deserts are great, because they spawn quite a lot of horses due to open space (I had 20+ horses)
– hoarding horses in a 4×3 is a great way to make scrap with much little effort
– horse poop doesn't despawn, since it stacks, and in the morning you can get free 4k stacks
– horses can be stacked/walked into each other for more space, just place hitch & through in a square, all sides facing in, with some small room to get the horse in
– the new water pump is a joke, not worth the high qual. sadly, you have to use water jugs
– it is also possible to do the same farm near the sea, but you need purifier and 2 barrels one for salty one for fresh, and you use water juggs to fill it
– I don't recommend having windows out, since people can see the stage of the crops, and some farm bases might be worth the raid (especially since I do wooden farm bases)
– I like to use wood for my farm bases, and keep each farm block separate through wooden walls

This been my first hemp farm attempt I thought it was normal to take this long. Well had a buddy who was living in the dessert and he said it takes him 2.5 hours max to ripen his. dont place your solar panels like that. they deffinetly will not be giving you 20 power per second if there's another one casting a shadow.

I started doing this 2 weeks ago, it works well. I would grab an LR and still have a few hundred scrap from each grow.
