  1. Other tips:
    1. Practice doing time trials or quali laps until you can take every corner of a track perfectly for multiple laps in a row and can achieve consistently fast lap times. Under pressure you need to be able to do a good lap automatically so you can concentrate on racing.
    2. When given penalties drop down a suitable number of gears to minimise the time lost.
    3. Don't try and force your way past other cars as you are likely to come off worse.

  2. ? gran turismo . group C 10 lap race. can some one tell me why i started 6th finished 6th (clean race no penalties) then im bumped down to 13th . 7 cars religated ahead of me but did not pass me. gio

  3. What about stationary starts? The game features a lot of rolling starts, when i start from the stationary position i always lose some positions.

  4. Tips about pitstop:

    Only pitstop when you need refuel and don't change the tiers everytime

    Use softs or supersofts(unless it's riany)

    In case you are doing 40+ min race pit under ten mins

  5. im a gran turismo player since GT1 in play station till GT4 with my ps2 but its really really hard to drive…but now im really enjoying with forza H3 and 4 with pc maybe one day i buy a PS4 or PS5 and try gt again…

  6. I have a B/S rating in Sport Mode, and I'm still getting pushed off the track by other drivers, often several times in a single race. How do these people maintain such a good rating driving like that? It's terribly frustrating. Also, in Sport Mode, there is a massive dropoff in grip between qualifying sessions and the actual race. It is terribly frustrating as well. I am not talking about reduced downforce when in traffic, and I am not talking about tire wear. I am all alone on the track and no other cars within 200 feet and the grip is like 1/3 LESS than qualifying. Complete rhubbish. And this after many, many updates that are supposed to improve or refine the game. Really? These 2 facts alone are a major impact to my enjoyment of this game. Not sure if I will ever buy another Gran Turismo title. So sad )-;

  9. "When you're comfortable, try racing without any help."

    There is only one assist which does not interfere with laptimes at all: ABS. Want proof? Watch Viperconcept's video.

    It's up to your preference. For me, I like to always turn ABS on. You never know when a sudden braking is necessary to dodge something unexpected. As your reaction time needs to be as low as possible, you would mostly be instinctively using the brake pedal as an on-off switch. Brake lock due to lack of ABS leads to disaster.

    But yes, ASM, TCS and the rest, better off turned off. Tricky to master but worth it for your laptimes

  10. I find when coming up to corners that braking, shifting up instead of down, and then downshifting to find a higher speed gives you more control over where your carโ€™s driving line is. Any thoughts on this?

  11. How the hec do you get back to the front view of driving?? Its crazy the controls trying figure out. Once you switch to chase cam or in car cam there is no option to go back to front!!!!!!

  12. Brake smoothly to maintain balance as balance increases the car's traction, use the first lap to properly learn the otherr drivers techniques ahead of you and capitalize on their mistakes, while maintaining a smooth race line to defend your position

  13. Are you seriously trying to teach us about slipstream? In your very first tip? Are you serious? You need an International GT Academy winner to teach us this? Get, the fuck, out.
