I agree with this fellow as long as you know what your doing IMO it does not matter the pot you use. In ground,fabric.plastic raised bed it will all work just find what you like.
to my experience the best way is, let it grow in fabric pots to air prune the roots, once there is load of roots trying to come out from the side you stick the whole thing underground (without the fabric if you want to reuse it)

I've always had the best luck with digging holes. Gorilla grow no-till.

Iām also in Oregon! First season In ground outdoors, usually do indoors. When you recon they go into flower around here?
