  1. How can i find a good product for my animal? I dont want to hurt him but he needs releif from seizures, and pain. (Possibly anxiety also. Although i do my best for him and am very understanding. He doesn't ever get yelled at for anything its best not to. Hes a 12 year old cat. Has always been an amazing boy. Sleeps under my blanket with me every night and he used to play fetch.)

He had a surgery when he was young. It had to do with urinary problems. His body temp dropped and i kept him alive long enough to see the vet by setting up a makeshift incubator with a space heater, a chair, and a blanket. He was only 1 years old at the time. He made it and the vet said he prolly wouldent make it past 2 or 3.

Hes made it to 12 so far! Ive always treated and fed him really good.

I always gave em bottled water because my citys tap isnt good at all.

And he always got urinary formula crunchies and wet food. Although most of the time he got fresh chicken for dinner that i would prepare for him myself. )

Recently hes been doing this thing where he locks up, starts howling and panting. Sometimes pisses himself. I always run to him immediately and calm him as much as i can. I worry hes having seizures. The vet said hes def had a few over the years.

I would like to find a good hemp oil product and try it on him.

  2. Doc Jones my senior dog was just diagnosed 5 days ago with vestibular disease. I really thought she was having a stroke! It was a very scary couple of days for me and my dog. I did some research and heard that CBD oil can help her feel better and also help to prevent this from happening again. I have been following you for a few years now and really value you as a respectable Veterinarian and a go to for treatments and fact findings. Please tell me your thoughts on this possible treatment. Thank you for all you do for our pet families ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

CBD BioCare 101Thereโ€™s a scientific reason why CBD is helping. It has to do with our bodyโ€™s natural cannabinoid receptors within our own endocannabinoid system. It turns out that cannabinoid receptors play a host of vital roles in our bodies. These receptors are found in nerve tissue, lung, liver, intestine, kidney, lymphatic tissue, and the spleen, the CB1 and CB2 receptors play roles in our immune system and blood formation functions. Other processes they control include cognition, memory, anxiety, motor behavior, sensory, autonomic and neuroendocrine responses, Glucose metabolism and insulin resistance, inflammatory effects, control of the vomiting reflex, nausea, hunger, and appetite control. This system is also responsible for the pleasure we get from exercise

  5. My dog has diabetes and Cushingโ€™s. He gets insulin and is on a keto diet. I have just started treating his Cushingโ€™s with Adrenal Harmony Gold by Petwellbeing because he was worse on Trilostane than before he went on it.

Iโ€™ve read where CBD oil is a treatment for Cushingโ€™s in and of itself. Would it be safe to continue the herbal Adrenal Harmony along with your CBD oil, or should I just use the CBD? Link to Petwellbeing:

  6. @Veterinary Secrets — Is it true that even just a tiny bit of Peppermint oil is toxic to our pets?? (I was always told yes by my Vet here in Tennessee) — But… MANY Pet CBD Oils, made specifically for dogs and cats has Peppermint oil in it. Thanx for answering and God Bless you and yours!!

  7. Our male cat 7 years old will be getting a ultrasound tomorrow morning to see what the mass in his stomach is and if it is lymphoma or not. I have access to medical marijuana and want to get information if I can treat him with the tincture or rso oils from there if it is found to be cancer? The regular vet wanted him on Prednisone but he only received one and a half doses since last Wednesday. I had another male cat diagnosed with lymphoma and prednisone did not help it caused him to be worse so I don't feel comfortable giving it to this cat now. I can not find a holistic vet or regular vet in my area that knows anything about using thc or cbd. Thank you for your time ๐Ÿ˜Š

  8. CBD helped my anxious cat a lot, she never really acted like a cat. Just always acted out of stress, never relaxed, always on guard. chasing her own tail around a lot, letting us pet her only the way she wanted… it looked like her body was irritably uncomfortable for her. she sometimes attacked because i made a little sound she didn't like, like laugh. And she was clearly anxious about her territory. I have come to think of her as a special need cat. I made sure to eliminate environmental causes. and we ran basic test to check for a physical cause. her condition look very much like hyperestesia, but we cannot make sure… so i began to give CBD oil to her, one small dose a day. and it eliminated almost all her territorial related stress, i saw her begin to act like a cat for the first time in 7 years. i saw her playing by herself, sleeping 4 paws in the air like she never did before. i never saw her mark or heard her territorial yowling. she definitively is more happy and relaxed. i saw her chase her tail once and it was off dose, so it seems like she is more comfortable with her body. i was really impressed by the CBD oil. BUT, with time i think it made her Mood trouble worst. like i said she always acted out for little sounds i made, like cough. or because i slightly move a sheet she is on. an aggression by irritation. This behavior didn't go and got worst, she began to chase and claw me when i put on my jacket and i am about to get out. She never showed me her irritation about this like that before…. and it happened when she wasn't dosed. so my guess is, it may do the same it does with human, and make it more difficult for emotion to be controlled off dosage. Just wanted to share my experience i case it may help somebody's research.

  9. okay my cat came back- from a surgery to get fixed after meds ran out i got myself some CPD oil and its human kind and the man at the store said yes this will help your cat too small doses and she fine and i took full doses and yes it works amazing! mine was 15 bucks!

  10. The example of the orange or the vitamin. I would disagree with you. Some people may not need some of the extra's that the orange itself gives. Fiber, fluid or other vitamins. If all you're after is specifically vitamin C. Then the vitamin itself is a better choice.

  11. My 16 yr old dog started having seizures back in Aug 2018. Vets said he "might" have a brain tumor causing this. Started on KEPPRA. Medically not a candidate for treatment so why pursurle MRI or ct scan.He also has IMHA. Is on prednisone every other day and vetmedin for htn. Carafate to protect Stomach from PREDNISONE. Anyways..
In July he went from having 1 or 2 seizures every day to suddenly 10-25 everyday! Began zoniasamide for seizures as well! Seizures started with him vocalizing crying out then neck going back..lasting less than 10 seconds and also incontinent of urine. Then be back to normal. From July to Sept would STILL have at least 10 seizures a day with 2 anti seizure meds. I do NOT want to do phenobard or the potassium bromide. A neurologist said zoniasamide not good for a dog with IMHA..so took him off that and see how he would do. Restarted multiple seizures every day. Then I thought about CBD oil….takes 0.25 two times day..he takes it easily. Since started taking it has about 0 to 1 seizure a day!! Could be coincidence BUT since shown to help adults I'm going to keep using it! Maybe not for all dogs but at 16 years old with MULTIPLE health issues what is to be lost! He still eats drinks walks….so he is gonna be with me as long as he wants!๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“
