  1. I like the title and the idea of Becoming Nobody. I've been working a different track, which is to awaken to the illusion of anything and everything in order to appreciate Nothing. Nobody is born from Nothing. There is no nobody. I've only awakened to the very slight edge of Nothing, so I glanced off of it left in wonder and peace and a very firm awareness of "I don't know" Imagine being Nothing for a few moments. One of the keys to shift5 back to our original state (Nothing) is to recognize and eliminate your reactions. Nothing makes the illusion more "real" than reacting to it. Nothing disillusions quicker than embracing Nothing.

  2. It's funny.. when I first started this journey, I couldn't wait to be enlightened. I pursued it almost 24/7 for a handful of years.
Last year I hit a point where I no longer had any questions about the matter and I gradually found myself wanting to get away from it. I just want to live a normal life. But there is no escape.
Love went from being an emotion to being the non-dual reality. The mind became the one presence in which all manifestation appears and subsides back into.
And "I" became a game which is only for the heck of it.
I chased it and couldn't grasp it. I run from it and at times it's like a rabid dog trying to snap at my heels.
I feel like, "what's going to happen to me?".
But the reality is that the only thing that can and ever will happen to me is that which I am.
There's no escape and there's nothing that can be done about it.
    Blessings my friends.

  3. what I liked most was the reminder that each person has to listen to their inner guidance to find their way through. That there is no faking it, becoming phony holy or what have you. As far as "becoming nobody," I think the terminology might be confusing to people, another way of saying it is becoming naturally (not codependentley, not needily) interconnected with everybody and everything by not having your concept of self in the way of your own love and compassion, for your self and others. (having an open mind and heart)… Words can be confusing and deceptive….soul, nobody, Self, No Self….these are all just….words…..

  4. I met a man who lived in a box he talked in circles on square city blocks

I knew he had NOTHING but he swore he had a lot, not a pillow for his head not even pissing in a pot

He was on a mission to be preaching to the flocks, he was living it to give it knots in the dreadlocks

I saw this man stand on a soap box, a glass house walking by and he be throwing rocks

    He said,

"People gather round 'cause it's never to late to diagnose the symptoms of this bitterness and hate, you've

Eaten from the apple so you've fallen from the pure, SOMETHING's the disease and I just found the cure

NOTHING is to have an NOTHING is to hold 'cause

NOTHING's where you're going when you get too old

And nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to NOTHING give it up, GIVE IT UP!

It's all about NOTHING (It's all about NOTHING)

It's all about NOTHING (It's all about NOTHING)

And NOTHING is so beautiful (It's all about NOTHING)

And NOTHING can bring you pain

It's all about NOTHING (It's all about NOTHING)

It's all about NOTHING (It's all about NOTHING)

And NOTHING is so beautiful (It's all about NOTHING)

And you've got NOTHING to gain…

("The key to being a monk is the Monk Key")

So if Nothing's all I got than Nothing can hold me down

Yeah, Nothing is the silence that you hear between the sound

And if Nothing isn't sacred than Nothing is a threat

If you live your life for Nothing you have Nothing to regret

NOTHING is to have an NOTHING is to hold 'cause

NOTHING's where you're going when you get too old

And nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to nothing

Is to nothing is to NOTHING give it up, GIVE IT UP!

  5. We are created to be somebody but be connected to all powerfull and personal God: Jesus was him come flesh. To become like God is to become like Christ: that is to be a christian. To be enlightened is to die from human wisdom and to enter in Gods wisdom of humilty how God himself humbled himself to be born into a baby body. Growing up to be a selfless man healing hte multitudes, teaches us to love our enemies and to turn the other cheek. And in the end to make the ultimate sacrifice of dying for our sins on the cross. But not only that conquering death and sins curse by being resurrected on the third day! Follow christ if you want to know the truth: Jesus says he is the truth, the way and the life!

Ps.Look at the fruits christianity is the most active and unselfish religion because it has tapt into Gods love through the holy spirit. Other religions spiritualities are infact demonic cults of death (like shiva godess of death and destruction in Hinduism, hinduism isn't actually life affirming). Gurus want money and sex, gurus are most often self centered and their spirituality that they teach doesn't normally lead people to become very unselfish people, or trully functioning human being. Some people find temporary bliss, but only in christ can you find eternal and true peace.

  6. What's worse than being a somebody?

    Answer: Going to hell.

When you die, where will you go?
All have sinned against God and are in jeopardy of being cast off forever being slaves to sin. But God does not take delight in the death of the wicked but that they should turn and live. He has shown His love for you in this, Christ died for you that you can be forgiven of your sins and be reconciled to God.
Would you like to surrender your life to the Lord Jesus?

God, I know I have sinned against You and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. With Your help I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness. The gift of eternal life! AMEN!

Welcome to the family of God! You will go to heaven!

  7. I went and listened to Ram Dass. I was searching for my meaning in this life. When he was done I was conflicted whether to approach him and ask for guidance. I actually left the auditorium and turned around and went right down there near the stage where a few were standing near him.Quite suddenly I found myself in front of him. I said " I don't know what I'm suppose to do.If you tell me to follow you here now I'll do so." He studied me a moment,I'm shy and uncomfortable. He says " Feel with your heart and you'll be fine. I said okay and can remember feeling or thinking is that it.I'm nervous, I say, thank you and turn to run away, and he grabs me in a complete bear hug and I can feel this energy, power traveling up and down my spine,My whole body is engulfed in this organism. I can remember saying wow,and it ended and he released me. I didn't have 2 nickles to clang together, but somehow was able to buy.Be Here Now. I could feel his presence,I could here him talking to me for years to come. The movie hardly ,him and his companion express the right words to help people, but early on he actually says something that some may miss.To understand life, your purpose you have to have experienced it. It's true that every moment we are challenged to a stimulus whether internalized from a memory, from our 5 senses, our intellect or our emotion of heart and we cannot cling to these thoughts and feelings to be fully free from self. It will bring suffering if we're unable to empty the baggage and it builds over time and can cripple you,and trapped you will be. Have you now become aware that our attention to time itself is the trap. Not once Does Ram Dass speak of, I think the most important lesson to learn and master in life.Too earn your patience and practice it,every moment you breathe. Nor does he ever ,give seekers one of the greatest secrets of life. Nature ,and becoming one with a flower,a tree an animal is true balance, peace and a quiet self. All of life understands us when we talk to it. The book is a very good place to start on your journey. I would from a lifetime of study take issue with the word Karma and the context it means to each of us separately.I could speak for hours to Ram Dass teachings, writings, this movie and more, but I have to go and leave you with this riddle.Did God punish Ram Dass with a stroke so he no longer could form his thoughts and words?

  8. Everyone’s journey is different. Everyone is in a different stage of spiritual maturity. You can’t force it to happen, it happens organically without drugs. You reach different stages of consciousness . Even if you can’t, that’s not the point. The point is to have a calmer mind, more self discipline… The universe will put you through initiations that you will have to pass to achieve higher and higher state…. Again you do spiritual pratice for the right reasons, not to pretend or be power hungry. God,Gods bless you all, have a beautiful,,wonderful life. ❤️

  9. I went in this with a completely open mind I must say there’s something about this film it seems very scattered and even his teachings seem very ego-based…dare I say pretentious and self-indulgent.

Even the interview section seems like they are stroking each other‘s “all knowing enlightenment“ and “look how clever we are” which makes me believe they don’t really know…Hence me thinking it’s the ego being the thing that is actually driving the bus here.

It just seems like this documentary was made for people that already knew a lot about him and it didn’t give any insight into who he was as a person or where are the teachings stem from… It seemed a bit superficial as if it was just a bunch of YouTube clips all strung together.

I don’t know if that makes sense or not but that’s just the feeling I get from this.

    EDIT

I’m sorry if all of that came across as negative because there are definitely some great parts here and the mask analogy in the interview was really well said

  10. New Age subversion technique to separate you from your soul. I've done all the hallucinogens too they are a red herring to true spirituality. God created each of us to have our own unique experiences and personalities. This is not ego like they want you to believe. They want an "everybody is nobody" hive mind. If you are constantly saying whimsical affirmations, you have no ability to troll people. Unity through outright roasting each other is key. Hippies get offended too easily.

  11. Become nobody – then sociopathic guru sex traffickers and the government will tell you what to do and take over your lives…you are "enlightened". This type of philosophy – the way it is spun – makes weak stupid people who do not care about their and their family's/community's own interests. It is designed that way. Don't get sucked in. A robust ego is necessary for healthy daily functioning…you can still find peace.
